One of my all-time favourite breakfasts! I love these warm and comforting oats so much, I’ve even been known to have them for lunch, and sometimes dinner. Because breakfast for dinner is more than okay, sometimes it’s exactly what the doctor ordered.
Breakfast that tastes like dessert?
Yes please.
10 Minute Apple Pie Oats deliver:
- Steaming hot, creamy oats
- Tender apple pieces, cinnamon and nutmeg
- Topped with a generous spoonful of plain yoghurt (or coconut yoghurt)
- Your favourite nut butter
- And a sprinkle of coconut sugar or a drizzle of raw honey
I took it the extra mile today and sautéed some apple pieces in a little coconut oil and coconut sugar, then piled them on top of the oatmeal and let’s just say…
I’ll be doing that again!
SOOO seriously DELICIOUS.
Our weather has been COLD this week. If you can find a spot of sunshine you can thaw out, but if you’re indoors, it’s pretty darn chilly.
And what better way to combat the chill (other than a nice big fluffy blanket, slippers and a hot drink) than a warm, hearty meal?
It’s on days like this that I really don’t feel like eating salad.
Much as I love a good salad, when the icy winter wind blows in…I need hot food.
Pretty sure no one ever came off the slopes and ordered a nice crunchy kale salad with an ice water on the side.
Nope, not gonna cut the mustard.
Gimme ALL the hot and comforting, cozy carbs!
10 Minute Apple Pie Oats are ideal because they’re so quick and easy to make, they’re 100% good for you, and they taste like a dream!
I’m in the throws of perfecting a Gluten-Free Apple Pie recipe that I’m going to share on the blog soon, so definitely keep coming by to check for that!
Apple pie flavours are so nostalgic. I’m pretty sure that’s true for most of us.
One of my grandpa’s favourite desserts (one of many!) was apple pie and whipped cream. So we had apple pie fairly often growing up.
And when I was about 21 I found myself in Ireland where, it has to be said, they make the absolute BEST apple pie you will ever taste in your entire life.
Check out my Brown Butter Caramel Crumble Apple Pie recipe that was inspired by the apple pies I had in Ireland. I think we tried a different apple pie every day that we were there! And they were all amazing.
For now though, try this super healthy 10 Minute Apple Pie Oats recipe for breakfast tomorrow, or lunch, or dinner…
