14 minutes, sweetcorn, spices & a frying pan = Charred Paprika Turmeric Corn Cobs! This gorgeous side dish could not be more simple, and it could not be more SCRUMPTIOUS! I’m not sure anyone could say no to these corn cobs…
The bright golden-yellow colour of the sweetcorn, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkled with Paprika, one of my all time favourite spices to use on just about anything! Did you know that it’s made by grinding bell peppers and chilli peppers together? The Paprika adds a sweet, smokey flavour, and contains many vitamins and minerals. The Turmeric gives a little kick and a slight curry note. Turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.

- 4 Sweetcorn cobs sliced in half
- Olive oil
- Salt & pepper
- Ground paprika
- Ground turmeric

Place the sweetcorn in a large frying pan on a high heat, and allow the sweetcorn to char all the way around, turning every 3 - 4 minutes until the sweetcorn is tender and charred to your liking.

Brush with olive oil, sprinkle with salt & pepper, paprika and turmeric to taste. Roll the sweetcorn around to make sure it is evenly seasoned all over, and serve!
