Favourite Homemade Tasty Tomato Salsa
Posted on September 19, 2017
My Favourite Homemade Tasty Tomato Salsa takes just 5 minutes to whizz up in a blender and is completely delicious eaten a number of different ways, some of these ways might even surprise you!
This salsa is full of natural, fresh ingredients, it’s quick and easy to make and 110% YUM, which is why this is my absolute FAVOURITE Homemade Tasty Tomato Salsa . I challenge you to find just one person who doesn’t like this salsa with a bag of corn chips…
It’ll be hard, because it’s SOOO GOOD!
Dynamite in fact.
Scrumptious for a snack with corn chips, crisps, crackers (as pictured, the healthier option!). Serve this salsa when your friends and family come over, they will love you forever and ever, amen. Just make sure you have a batch ready the next time they come over or they might be a little TEENY bit mad with you. I dono, my family gets emotional over food.
Definitely try these recipes too – My 5 Minute Spicy Tahini Hummus, my Simple Peanut Ginger Dressing, my Roasted Butternut Cous Cous Salad with Pesto Dressing, my Brinjal Mushroom & Mozzarella Lasagne, my Easy Aubergine Beef Cannelloni, my Pecan Cranberry & Avocado Salad with Orange Dressing, my Baby Marrow Spaghetti & Rustic Plum Tomato Sauce, my Asian Carrot Salad with Peanut Ginger Dressing.
Can I make a tiny little confession? I didn’t used to be big into salsa. It was a take it or leave it situation. I had only really ever had the bought kind, in a jar, full of preservatives and kind of yummy for the first bite and then kind of not so yummy. To my taste buds anyway. So it took me a while to bother to try a recipe of my own…But NOW, you guys! I’m so in LOVE with SALSA!!
I also love the dancing kind of Salsa, but that’s a story for another day! My dancing shoes are calling to me from the back of my cupboard and it’s becoming harder and harder to ignore them.
Anyway! Back to the salsa of the moment –
I have eaten this homemade salsa with pasta, sprinkled with a little feta cheese and it’s so tasty and comforting! I love a dollop of this salsa on baked chicken breasts and I even use it in bolognese or lasagne recipes if I feel like having a more spicy dish, spice things up is what I say!
Basically, any saucy dish that you want to add extra flavour to – just add a decent dollop (or bowl-full) of my Favourite Homemade Tasty Tomato Salsa and you’ll have a scrumptious dish that everyone will love!
Just 5 MINUTES is all it takes, and it’s :
- The tastiest and most colourful salsa (you eat with your eyes first)
- One of the healthiest dips you can make!
- A very versatile salsa that can be added to many meals to spice them up
- Lasts for up to 3 days in the fridge
- Deep freezable! So you can store it away for the next time you need corn chips and salsa in a hurry
Another little confessional moment coming your way -> I’m not the hugest fan of chillies. I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to hot food. I’ve made my peace with it, and I find comfort in knowing that I can’t possibly be the only one. If you’re like me and you like a mild salsa, this is GOLD! If you’re a hot food Ninja (respect), then substitute the green pepper for green chillies and add more cayenne pepper…I have it on good authority that you will be in salsa luuuurve.
Either way, we’re all pretty cool, salsa wimps or salsa ninjas, we’re a big, accepting, foodie family around here!
So leave me a comment to let me know when you’ve tried my Favourite Homemade Tasty Tomato Salsa! And if you have a favourite salsa recipe, tell me all about it! I’d love to hear.
